The Alhambra is breathtaking. The Muslim influence is prevalent in every corner from the ornately detailed patterns on the walls throughout the Palacio Nazaries to the bubbling fountains in the beautiful Generalife Garden. It’s no wonder the Catholics felt it was such a prize to be won. It is also situated high up in the perfect defensive position, a strategic fortress for whoever was lucky enough to rule it. The San Nicolas viewpoint (depicted here) is unquestionably the best spot to view the Alhambra and even moreso at sunset!
