Morocco is one of the most unique countries I have traveled to thus far. From the time I stepped off the boat from Spain, the country felt like a constant assault on all of the senses. Up to that point, the majority of my travel had focused around Europe, and I was surprised by just how different Morocco was–everything from the language and alphabet to the daily way of life were like nothing I had experienced before. The markets were very different from the ones I'd visited in Europe, so we took some time to explore them and do a little shopping. I definitely felt the need to buy a pair of shoes home after seeing this display, and after much negotiating--a must in Morocco--I got a great price, too!
