The Saint Louis Gateway Arch stands at 630 ft tall, and I have to admit, I was more impressed with it in person than I thought I would be. Constructed from 1963-1968, the Arch has come to be the symbol of the city. You can take a ride to the top of the arch in a pod-like transportation car. The view is great, but the windows are small (as you can see from the picture); I much preferred the view up to the arch than the view from the arch back down to the ground. There were SO many fun artistic angles to capture of the arch from down below.
