Ancient Rome, the civilization everyone thought was too powerful and widespread to fall is now largely made up by an amazing collection of ruins. Seeing the ruins firsthand you can begin to envision how advanced the Romans really were for their time. This spot in the middle of Rome overlooking the archeological park across to the Colosseum is one of my favorites.
