Macau is most well known as the “Las Vegas of Asia,” but it also has a historic old Portuguese Quarter that is worth dedicating some of your time. The old ruins of Saint Paul Church are a must-visit when in Macau. The seventeenth century church was destroyed by a fire in 1835. All that remains of the original church is its facade, but that’s enough. In fact, I found the facade of this church to be more impressive than most whole churches since I’d never seen anything like it before!
