Monterosso al Mare is another of the 5 villages that make up the Cinque Terre. The cerulean blue waters, relatively flat shoreline, and narrow back-lanes are very inviting. However, the colorful umbrellas lining the beach, tasty restaurants, and automobile-accessibility also make it the most “touristy” of the villages. Nonetheless, Monterosso is one of the most enjoyable of the villages to visit, and getting lost on a quiet back lane is just as easy to do as joining the crowds of sunbathing on the beach.
