Istanbul’s Spice Market at midday is one of the most crowded places I have ever experienced; it is literally bursting with activity. In addition to the number of people, I have never seen so many spices all in one places! There are stalls piled high with every flavor under the sun; it’s hard to even decide where to start. If you don't enjoy cooking and spices don’t really thrill you (if nothing else, they’re very photogenic), then stop at one of the stands in the market selling Turkish delight to try a free sample. It is not like anything I had ever had back in the states, comes in way more flavors than I expected, and can get quite addictive!
