This view from Notre Dame Cathedral’s rooftop made me feel as if it could be the 2000s or the 1800s. Above the bustle of the city, cars, and traffic lights, not much has changed. There was a tranquility about this spot that made me want to just pause for a moment to take it all in. The gargoyles perched up here are lucky enough to spend their days enjoying the beautiful old Parisian skyline stretched out below. This was quite possibly my favorite view over the city, even topping the dazzling one you get from atop the Eiffel Tower.
