Ceiling of Pictures, Vatican Museum (Vatican City)

Italy- Vatican- Museum- Ceiling of Pictures 11.28.2013- The Vatican has more treasures than one could put a price tag on.  The sheer magnitude and size of their museum is enough to exhaust most people just at the thought of tackling a portion of it.  Not only does it house some of the world’s most famous and priceless works of art, but it is also a part of several of them.  While the Sistine Chapel is the most famous–and for good reason–this hallway (and countless other walls and ceilings covered in frescoes) just goes to show that they literally have art everywhere, from floor to ceiling!  I love the effect in this hallway of the paintings appearing to go on for infinity because that’s exactly how it feels when you’re there!
