Dresden Cathedral (Dresden, Germany)

11.25.2012- Dresden has a destructive and firey past.  During World War II, 95% of the city was destroyed by firebombs and countless citizens died in the blaze.  The Frauenkirche was no exception.  When they began to rebuilt the city, they tried to save many buildings’ stones if possible.  You can make out the Frauenkirche’s firebombed stones by their distinctive burnt marks.
