Blue Mosque (Istanbul, Turkey)

9.17.2012- The Blue Mosque in Istanbul is magical.  In August, the combination of it with the beautiful pink flowering trees made for a great picture.  The interior is equally as breathtaking.  A mosque only needs one minaret, but this one has 6 (only 3 of them are visible in this picture).  The other 5 were built because the sultan building it wanted to display how much wealth he had for the world to see.

I have decided to start a daily photo page with some of my favorite travel photos.  I’m sure some of these will show up on other pages, and I won’t get to this every single day.  However, I have plenty of photos to choose from, so I shouldn’t be running out anytime soon!
